The original burger at Captain America's

Captain America's can lay claim to bringing the original burger to Dublin way back in 1971 long before McDonalds moved in a few doors down on Grafton street...

All Dubliners know this restaurant and most will have visited it at one time or another. As a tot with their parents or out for a night with friends or even with a date.

The restaurant is casual with a rock n roll museum surrounding you as you eat. On our last visit we spotted rock memoribilia from U2, The Rolling Stones, Debbie Harry, David Bowie, REM and Van Morrison.

The food at Captain Americas is simple, tasty and good value for a Dublin city restaurant. Apart from 13 varieties of  burgers to choose from in 1/4 or 1/2 pounder portions you'll also find steaks, fish, vegetarian and salad options on the expansive menu.

If you're planning a family outing check out Captain America's kiddies day every Sunday with a really good value menu and clowns and colouring competitions to keep the tots on their toes!

After our meal we sidled up to the cocktail bar and sipped away on some of the delights on offer....which are to be recommended!

You can check out Captain Americas menu on their website...
