Greyhound racing always had an enthusiastic following in Ireland. The two main racing stadiums in Dublin, Shelbourne Park and Harolds Cross were rebuilt several years ago and made them attractive to a much wider audience.
These two, Dublin based, dog-racing tracks provide thrills and excitement even for those with no real interest in greyhound racing or betting. A night at the dogs can become a night to remember in the comfort of modern bars and restaurants. You can eat, drink and be merry indoors while watching the eleven races. Place your bets and join in the excitement as you cheer your favourite across the finishing line. The thrill of the fast paced races is best experienced if you are part of a group. Even on your own you will feel the buzz of excitement from the moment the first race begins.
There are two greyhound stadiums in Dublin. Shelbourne Park Greyhound Stadium is conveniently located in Dublin 4,just a short taxi ride from the centre of the city, with racenights every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evening. Harolds Cross Greyhound Stadium is located in Dublin 6, again just a short taxi ride form city centre - racenights are every Monday, Tuesday and Friday evening.
At both locations you can enjoy a great night of thrilling entertainment with several races to place your bets on and luxury restaurants, bars, conference centres and hospitality suites all at very reasonable rates.
