About Bram Stocker Dracula Experience
Bram Stoker was born in Clontarf, Dublin on November the 8th 1847. He graduated with honours from Trinity in 1780 and began work as a civil servant. Just a few years later he became drama critic of the Dublin Evening Mail and this led to his being made manager of the Lyceum Theatre in London in 1878. Surprisingly his first publication was a collection of short stories for children – even so, his talent for the gruesome comes through.
Dracula, the novel that brought him everlasting fame was published in 1897. This gripping story of the supernatural was well received at the time but it was not until after his death that Dracula became an international success. This was due to Hollywood’s interest in producing hundreds of horror films based on the character Count Dracula. In particular the film starring Bela Lugosi as Dracula in 1931 led to the way in making Dracula the terrifying creature of the night that we all love to fear. The novel has been translated into many languages and has never been out of print. Bram Stoker died in 1912, not knowing how great a legend he had created.
To relive the blood curdling and terrifying story of Count Dracula you must visit the Bram Stocker Dracula Experience. For Dracula fans this is truly an experience not to be missed.
