The colourful and interesting complex in the Town Park of Skerries - a seaside town just 30 minutes bus ride from Dublin. What is so special about this Mills complex is that it has three working mills which are made up of a watermill, a 4 sail windmill and a 5 sail windmill and their mill races. These mills date back to the 16th century and demonstrate an efficient and effective use of water and wind power in bygone centuries.
Views of the coastline as far north as the famous Mountains of Mourne are possible from the site.
Regular Guided Tours during which you will see the mills in action and will be allowed to climb up inside the windmills.
After the 50 minute tour enjoy refreshments in the Watermill Café and have a browse through the stocks of Irish made crafts.
The complex is open all year round.
